The CBSE Science syllabus for classes 5th to 10th covers a range of topics in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. In the lower classes (5th-8th), the focus is on foundational concepts and introducing scientific processes. From class 9th onwards, the syllabus delves deeper into more specific scientific concepts, including matter, atoms, molecules, and life processes. 

Class 5th:

  Food, components of food, materials, separation of substances, plants, and body movements. 

Class 6th:

• Focus:
  Builds on foundational concepts with more detailed explorations of materials, plants, and the human body.
• Key Topics:
  Food, components of food, fibre to fabric, sorting materials, separation of substances, changes around us, getting to know plants, and body movements. 

Class 7th:

• Focus:
  Explores nutrition in plants and animals, heat, acids, bases, and salts, physical and chemical changes.
• Key Topics:
  Nutrition in plants and animals, heat, acids, bases, and salts, physical and chemical changes, respiration, transportation in animals and plants. 

Class 8th:

• Focus:
  Introduces microorganisms, conservation of plants and animals, and reproduction in animals.
• Key Topics:
  Crop production and management, microorganisms, coal and petroleum, combustion and flame, conservation of plants and animals, reproduction in animals, and reaching the age of adolescence. 

Class 9th:

• Focus:
  Delves into the fundamental concepts of matter, atoms, molecules, and the structure of the atom.
• Key Topics:
  Matter in our surroundings, is matter around us pure, atoms and molecules, structure of the atom, the fundamental unit of life, tissues, diversity in living organisms, and motion.  

Class 10th:

• Focus:
  Covers chemical reactions, acids, bases, salts, metals, non-metals, carbon compounds, and life processes.
• Key Topics:
  Chemical reactions and equations, acids, bases, and salts, metals and non-metals, carbon compounds, life processes, control and coordination, human eye, and natural resources.
